When does time pass slowly for you? When does time pass quickly?
Is it too qliché to say that time passes slowly when I'm watching the clock and quickly when I am having a great time?
There is a wonderful old Robert Frost Poem called October...
"O hushed October morning mild begin the hours of this day slow
make the day seem to us less brief...
release one leaf at break of day at noon release another leaf
one from our trees one far away..."

Do you have a favorite beach? What's your favorite beach activity? Tell us what we'd find in your beach bag.
I live a tiny town on the coast of Massachusetts. My favorite beaches here are rocky and small and smell like home.
I like to look for beach glass when I'm on the beach.
Most of the time I don't have a beach bag. I just sort of wander around the corner and onto the beach and leave with pockets bulging wishing I had thought to bring a bag.

What is your favorite beach movie?
I love the beach cottage in the PBS version of Sense and Sensibility. It looks so rugged and beautiful. I love when the little sister (Margaret?) makes the banner of seashells.
I suppose it's not really a "beach movie" but I love that beach.

What's a food you love but find it a pain to eat? Is it worth it?
Lobster and yes it is worth it!

Do you like rollercoasters? What is the best (or worst) rollercoaster you've been on?
I love the idea of rollercoasters. I think they look like great fun for people...other people. I've been on one and I will never go on another one. Not my thing.

My step-son and his wife just visited a beautiful beach on the very northwestern tip of Washington state. It's in an area called La Push. I went there one time in 1981 and I've never forgotten how beautiful it was.
I need to try a good authentic lobster roll! That looks so good!
ReplyDeleteI like the small beaches rather than the bigger one's. They are quieter and have more character.
ReplyDeleteI have never eaten proper lobster from the shell, I need to try it!
La Push...I have never heard of it. I love how unique beaches are around the country! And, I agree, the beach house in S&S is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThe lobster roll looks yummy! I love them and far less of a pain to eat than an actual lobster. I like the rocky beaches of the New England coast too. They're rugged and wild as opposed to the softer beaches further south. It's been fun to read about. beaches all around the country today and across the pond too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers. It would be wonderful to live close to a beach.
ReplyDeleteA small coastal town in Massachusetts sounds lovely! I've only been to Massachusetts once and I had to have a lobster roll. It was so good!
ReplyDeleteLove that Robert Frost poem and the feeling it captures. I could picture the scene from Sense & Sensibility immediately. My daughter watched it with me when she was quite young and we were both enchanted by the scenery of their cottage. Hope you're having a great week!
