Friendship

 t

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up

just as you are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

~ ~ ~

I came across this beautiful scene as I drove home from work on Friday. I think the big boat is the "Friendship" out of Salem. MA, which is just the next town over from my town. Either way, it was so pretty a scene that I had to pull over to get a few pictures.

It made me think of how often we "drive by" our friendships and don't really take the time to encourage or build one another up as we are called to do.

  1. A painting! Incredible capture. You are so right. We miss so much when we don’t “pull over.”

  2. it's like the light hitting the sails on the 'Friendship' is highlighting it. I sometimes after I've been around people think I didn't listen good enough let alone build them up as the scripture says. Usually, I'm in my own world and not listening so I've been trying to be better at that. Good reminder scripture. Wishing you a happy week. You are lucky to live in such a pretty area with that landscape. Great photo.

  3. That photo looks like a painting! What good thoughts about how we need to take time to build one another up.

  4. Gorgeous photo! It does remind me of a painting, and I had notecards that had a very similar scene. Very meaningful application of the verse as well - we do need to take the time to connect with and enourage our brothers and sisters. Thanks for sharing!
