Tucker climbed up on my lap as I sat at my desk the other day. He put his front paws onto the surface of the desk as if to say, "hand me a pencil so I can add kitty treats to your grocery list."

I work at a school so last week was my first week back to work after our 2 week holiday break.
The commute takes me past a beautiful beach and I just had to pull over one morning
to make a picture of this beautiful sunrise.

Sunday morning I woke very early and walked past the town landing on. my way to the little
breakfast spot. It was very foggy and misty and everything looked so quiet and still.

The last weekend of Christmas break my granddaughters came to stay over night with me.
Abby painted this water color and wanted me to take a picture of it to send to her mother.
Her grandfather is a talented watercolor artist and has been giving her little lessons.
She is seven.
The other night my phone rang and I heard both of my granddaughter's little voices.
"You forgot to send the picture to mummy." Abby said.
And I could hear Natalie (she's almost 5) say, "I took a shower and used conditioner
in my hair like we do at your house, Hopie."
I love when they call me! I texted the picture right away.

My new washer and dryer finally got installed!!
What an ordeal that all was...so frustrating!
But, all is well except for the fact that I have so much laundry to put away.

LOVE the sunset pic and the beautiful watercolor! My oldest girl at age 7 loved to do watercolors and in fact majored in Art at Gordon College where is a top notch Art Department. She still dabbles in watercolors from time to time as well as oils. I have treasured all of her little girl paintings and now some of her college work hangs in our home. (she said she wants them back but she has yet to come and get them :) )

ReplyDeleteThat sunrise is beautiful. Always good to talk/get messages from the grandkids. I had a photo card of Hubby and me with our 2 in Nottingham this week as a thank you for having them at Christmas. Glad you can catch up on all your laundry. We take those machines so much for granted. Have a good weekend.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Hope Tucker got many treats. My pupper always checks the bags when I get home because he knows he gets a treat for patiently waiting for me. There's usually never a treat in them for him because I already have some I've bought before, but he still has to sniff everything. Tucker is so pretty. I miss having a cat, but at my age, Razzy is enough to take of. Use to have both but my Tess passed away.

ReplyDeleteLove the painting by the granddaughter. A young girl who occasionally comes to our monthly art/knit grp has painted watercolors for us. I treasure them.
Those beach photos are wonderful. So calming.
