I can hardly believe that my sweet and vivacious little Abigail has turned seven!!
I thank God every time I think of her.
She just turned 7 and Natalie will be 5 this month. It's crazy how fast it all goes by.
Tucker has become extra friendly toward me lately. As I sat at my desk doing some journaling one day he jumped up on my lap and laid his front paws onto the desk as if he was ready to sign some very important documents or something.
I went for a short walk a few times this week when I got home from work.
I find if I walk before going into the house I am much more successful. Once I go inside
the chances of me going back out into the cold for a walk diminish greatly.
It's been so peaceful and quiet and beautiful.

I finally got a plumber in to fix the connector to the broken washing machine so that Home Depot
can remove it and replace it with my new washer and dryer set.
It's been such a hassle trying to line every one up!
Hopefully, I will have a brand new washer and dryer when I get home from work today
and I will spend the weekend happily catching up on laundry.
We always stop at the old-fashioned grocery market around the corner from my house when my grandchildren come to visit. We buy the things they like to eat, something for dinner, and we always get fresh flowers. This time Abby picked out some fresh cut purple Hyacinths which filled the house with the fragrance of spring and Natalie picked out a beautiful bouquet of pink tulips.

my husband has that exact same scully cap!!!!! I kid you not. He bought it from some Boston store for a roaring 20s party he attended via a work thing.
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is ADORABLE in it!!
YAY for after noon walks. I've been enjoying my morning ones so much with the milder temps this week out here in eastern NY that I actually did TWO good power walks yesterday: morning and afternoon and today I plan on doing the same.
Your kitty is one my daughters would love to pet and sit with.
I hope you get to do all of your laundry this weekend.....i can so relate....
HAPPY WEEKEND!
Oh I do hope your washer dryer is fixed and you can catch up! Cute pic of your granddaughter. Yes they grow up too quickly! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteAbigail is adorable! I can relate to the joy the girls bring you! Precious!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to sweet Abigail!
ReplyDeleteI hope your washer and dryer are installed now and your pile of laundry is diminshed.
What a lovely place for you to walk!
Have a good week!
Happy Birthday to Abigail! Such a sweet picture. I can think of nothing worse than a broken washer/dryer. Even having a car on the mend is not as bad. Glad yours will be up and working again soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your granddaughter! She's so cute. That's a good plan to do your walking while still outside. I wouldn't like going back out in the cold, either. I hope everything gets straightened out with the washer and dryer soon. The last couple of times we have gotten an appliance, it has been hard to get everything coordinated with the right people. I love fresh showers in the winter.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Abigail. She is adorable! Your picture from your walk does look so peaceful. I don't mind walking in the cold as long as it's not bitter and there is no windchill to go with it. Hope the washer and dryer got in and they've been chugging away getting your laundry done.
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to live by the ocean. Happy Birthday to your granddaughter! Have fun with your new washer and dryer!
