A whole handful

~ ~ ~

My daughter's sister-in-law snapped this sweet picture of me (on the left) and my daughters,

Hannah (in the middle) and Bonnie (on the right).

I'm so grateful she captured us together.

My youngest granddaughter turned 5 over the weekend!

She's a whole handful now and truer words were never spoken!

My 7 year old granddaughter wanted to have a "slumber party" with me so all three children ended

up sleeping in front of the fire with me.

At one point I had me, Natalie, her giant stuffed octopus, and the big dog, Violet on one side of the

sectional, Abigail on the other side, and Verne sleeping just beneath us in a cocoon of blankets.

It was one of those very special moments when you stop to pay attention

because you know it's not going to come around again. Needless to say I didn't get a whole lot of sleep.

HUGE snowstorm!!!

Just in case anyone anywhere anyplace in the USA didn't hear about it....

lots of snow and frigid temps!

I had snow days on Monday and Tuesday!

Yay!!!

P.S. This is not my car.

Tucker loved having me home for most of the week.

We had a few conversations about who was going to stretch out on the couch...

he won most of them. He looks so comfortable I couldn't disturb him.

  1. Making memories with Grandchildren is the best. Your cat is so cute - I wouldn't have disturbed him either. Our son had a lot of snow too but still had to get to work although a bit later than usual. Lovely pic of you with your daughters. Have a good weekend.

You guys out there got more than we did I think but wowza...these wind chills of -14 is killing my arthritis so I'm staying inside today.
I do love that it's been a sunny week though.
I hope you have a very restful weekend.

  4. We arrived home to lots of snow. Grandsons had a full week off.
I think the slumber party was a success.
And I love that photo of you and your girls.

  6. Those are the best memories. I treasure the ones I have now since all grands are grown. The slumber party sounds so fun, and the best kind of sleepless night. Great photo of you and the girls. Glad you have that keepsake. They're very pretty as well as you. Enjoy the week ahead.
